Receiver does not work

One of my receiver just stop working. I can hear the sound on the tv but no picture and the time and channels does not display. It just shows four lines in the window. I have unplugged the box several times. I even switched the box off with a working tv. I got the some results on that tv. So it has to be something with the box. Can you reset it? Or do I have to get a new receiver? How do I get a new receiver?

If you see the dashes your box is not communicating.  Make sure the cable from your wall or floor is going into the input on the back of the box. It could need a hit, or you could need a new box or the signal could be real low coming into the box.  I would call VZ to get them to look at it after you checked the cable.
