Record show or series in advance of showing in listing

How do I set up a recording in FIOS for a show/series that does not yet appear in the TV Listings?  Coming from Tivo where you set a wish list and it automatically records.

FiOS does not have a wish list type feature.

You have to find at least one episode of a show to set up recording.
