We wanna watch the whole game not just the highlights... Fios needs to be a little more competitive with Direct TV

Unless i'm misunderstanding the question/comment...
Verizon has no control or influence over what the NFL puts on it's Redzone channel. The channel is the same wether you watch it on Verizon or Direct TV. Carriers can only decide if they want an agreement to carry it and how much to charge for it.
The NFL Redzone channel describes itself as
"NFL RedZone, produced by NFL Network, whips around every NFL game on Sunday afternoons delivering the touchdowns and most exciting moments as they happen and in high definition. When a team goes inside the 20-yard line, NFL RedZone takes fans there. The channel keeps fans up-to-date in real time, switching from game to game with live look-ins, highlights and a chance to see the key plays."
So if you want to watch entire games and not just highlights the Redzone channel is not for you.

Verizon can not offer the entire games like DirecTV does. The NFL and DirecTV signed an EXCLUSIVE deal for NFL Sunday Ticket. The deal expires at the end of the 2014 or 2015 season.
Red Zone is there to only show the plays as teams are ready to score.
