Remote DVR not working, box not responding?

I have used it in the past, last time being about 6 weeks ago but both yesterday and today I wanted to set up a recording from work and I just get the

message that "box "number"  is not responding".

Any idea how to fix it?  It works perfectly at home.

mine was (finally) working until the upgrade to 1.6.1... I sent a PM to techman but I haven't seen a response yet.
