My MIL is really annoying me with this, she has a NON DVR box and keeps telling that her remote is broken because she can not pause the program she is watching, I told her that the reason is she does have the DVR box and she will not believe me so can some one please answer this so I can print it out and show her............. THANKS
On a regular non-DVR STB ....
You can pause and play DVR recorded content if you have the Home DVR service and are playing something from it.
You can NOT pause, rewind, etc. LIVE content -- there's no disk (which is what buffers the video on a DVR box) on a standard STB. Your STB must be a DVR in order to have those features.
