Replacement HD set top box needs cable that the old one did not use - How do I get that?

I recently was shipped a new HD set top box because the old one stopped working, However, this one  takes a cable that the old one did not use and it was not included in the box.  Am I supposed to buy that?  If so, where?

What cable is that?

Far as I know, all HD STBs support the same outputs:

HDMI and Component for HD.

The old box only had one cable from the tv to the set top box;  (It is now obsolete) the new box has a cable with 5 ends on each end.

The cable you are describing is for a Component connection.

Provide the model of the new STB and we can give a better answer.

The old cable sounds like an HDMI cable.  It should still work.  Note they often ship no cables at all with replacement boxes.  You are not expected to return them and should just switch them from one box to the other.
