Just wondering, when you upgrade your box do you lose all of your old programs you have recorded that are stored on the box?

If you replace your DVR, you lose all recordings stored on that DVR.

 

There is no DVR to upgrade to at this moment.  The QIP6416 does exhibit fewer HDMI interoperability issues than the QIP7216, but aside from that, both offer virtually identical functionality, performance, and storage.
