Retraction - my Samsung is a 2005 unit (HLP6163W) not a 1995 duh.
WRKPA thanks for the Samsung link. It has not helped yet but from what all the FAQ's say is that it is a stb firware issue.
Back to the drawing board.
Has this been solved with the V1.71 build? The audi synch problems are stil there as well as the drop-outs of audio/video.
Still on HDMI. Shouldn't Verizon provide the component cables since both Verizon and Samsung have admitted to the problem.
