Series recordings ignoring limits

No matter what limit I set on the number of recordings, the DVR is recording more. I've got 20+ recordings of shows where I said to record 5. Does the limit not work?

That's not a limit request you are selecting, that is telling the DVR how many older ones to keep that were already recorded. There is no limit recording feature.

 On your DVRs, it consumes all available space by continuing to record episodes? I mean, I'm up to like 40 spongebobs in a few weeks.

The "Keep x episodes" function always worked for me the way the OP wants. It does not work anymore. This has occurred fairly recently.

Thanks. I mean, it should only record what you want right? Hopefully the new version will fix this, whenever it arrives.

What new version? I have 1.9 already if that's to what you are referring.
