Set top box not receiving data

My set top top box isn't receiving data. The router works fine and every other device (including the other set top box) work fine and can connect to the Internet. I had the same problem last year, but it just sort of fixed itself. I'd rather fix this problem on my own than hope for the best. Verizon support just tells me to turn everything on and off again, but that hasn't worked yet. does any have any clue what to do here?
