Set top box?

I'm not sure if my set top box is faulty or if it is a wiring issue.  My internet is still functional and there are 4 dashes on the display of the set top box instead of the time.  How can I determine if it is a connection issue or if it is a box issue?

Do you just have the 1 box?

Is Internet fed via COAX as well?

Did you change anyhting recently or power reset the box?

Or did it just quit?

You can always try and double check connections are tight.

Try reboting router and then the STB to see if it recovers.

Assuming it is just the one STB, cant say for cetain.

You have to contact support in either case.

Have you tried a reset?

The "dirty way" is to unplug the STB, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

The recommended way is to download the "in Home Agent" and go through the trouble-shooting procedure (which will include a reset, around step 2 as I recall).

I was looking for a link for the IHA, but found this. which has a "Quick Fix", which maybe does a reset. I have not tried it, so maybe it downloads the IHA.
