I have a DCT 700 Digital Adaptor that allows me to view TV on my computer. I have never had a problem either viewing live TV or recording. Today when I played back a recorded program, there was a picture for about 5 sec, then the screen went blue and it said, "Digital Audio Program". The sound continues without a picture. There is no problem with live TV. Ive tried recording other channels. It's always the same. I don't understand what changed.

I get a similar message (HDCP protection) when I record HD content from the STB to a DVD recorder (SD), but it goes away after a few seconds.
What connection are you using? There can be problems when recording digital content.
Ive since found out my husband downloaded an upgraded version of Media Manager a few days ago. That's when I lost the picture when recording programs. Not sure what you mean by connection? I have a coax cable from cable outlet direct to digital adaptor.
And it's coax from the adapter to the computer, too?

The DCT-700 is an SD only box. It has coax and composite with L/R audio only. There sohold be no HDCP issues as what comes out is NTSC 480i either RF modulated or on the RCA connectors. Sounds like the new version of Media Manager may have caused the issue, but I'm not sure how.
Yes that's my thought too. It stopped working following the upgrade. I don't think its coincidence. Thanks!
