Splitter on FIOS coax?

I have FIOS TV and internet. My modem has both a coax and ethernet cable coming in to it.

Where the coax comes in to the modem can I add a splitter with one side going to the modem and to a television STB on the other side?

Technically, it's a "router," not a "modem."

Yes, you can split the coax between the router and a STB.
