We have a 7216 HD DVR, and it's worked fine for several months now. Suddenly about a week ago (software update?) the time line at the bottom stays on screen constantly. Obviously I expect it to be there when rewinding or fast forwarding, but not when just watching TV. The only way to get it away is to completely unplug the DVR and plug it back in. Within 10 minutes it's back and stays back.
Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting your box from the DVR from the menu Help>In Home Agent > Reboot STB ?
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest you contact support, and maybe there's a reset which can also be done on Verizon's side as well.
