I will soon be installing FIOS. I have three TVs. If I get a Tivo Roamio Pro and two Tivo Minis, I know I will need to rent a cable card from Verizon. But do I still need to rent a FIOS box and FIOS DVR service?
Also, if I go with the Tivo setup, what are the trade-offs, vs. using three FIOS boxes and FIOS DVR service?

You can use TiVo only.
Biggest difference is that you have no access to on demand with cable card.
But you can use channel apps to get some of it back.

Thanks so much. By channel apps do you mean Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.?
