I am trying to use my FIOS DVR for the first time. I entered the Guide, pushed record on the highlighted show, and saw a blue circle with a white check mark appear. But the program did not get listed in the scheduled recordings and did not record.

The blue is just a reminder... For a scheduled record, it should be red...Is it possible that you picked the reminder option, instead of the record option?
