I have an HD TV in one room and regular TV in 2 others. I have the Fios Ultimate HD Plan with a Miulti Room DVR. I am upgrading one TV to HD and that room has the following set top box features:
Set Top Box
• Works on High Definition or Standard Definition TVs
• Watch HD and standard definition programming
• Access to extensive Video On Demand library with HD and SD content
• Interactive Media Guide
You currently have 2 Set Top Box
Do I need to do anything to get HD TV on my new TV besides plug it in to the Set Top Box?
The best answer (based on your post) is that you have an HD STB in that room and as long as you connect via either HDMI or Component (3 wire video interface) you will get all your HD programming on the new set. Do not use the RF out, composite video, or S-video outputs - they will not deliver HD outptut.
In the future if you could post the make and model of the STB (found on the front panel) it makes these answers more specific with a higher probability of accuracy.
