Upgrading old set top HD DVR boxes

I have been trying for a month now to request an upgrade to the larger DVRs. I have 3 of the old, smaller ones and wanted to do the upgrade.  I emailed for assistance but what they told me to do was what I told them I was having problems with in my original email.  I tried to request the upgrade via the "my settop boxes" link on my page.  I can't get to that page because anything I click on takes me to the FlexView page.  I used to be able to view my DVRs and use the Remote DVR feature (and yes, it is acitvated on my boxes) now I can't even get to see the boxes at all.  The link to request an upgrade is supposedly on that page..how convenient that it is not accessible!  For the first year I had FiOS I had no problems but since we moved and had the service switched to our new address almost a year ago, (using the same equipment we had previously) we have had nothing but problems.  What happened to customer service for current subscribers?  I am betting if I wanted to add something that was going to cost me more a month, I'd have no problem getting service.  But because I just want to swap out some old equipment, I get no help at all!  Why upgrade things if those who currently subscribe cannot get access to it???  I would like 3 new HD DVR;s in order to use the new Guide as well as more capacity!

I have no idea where you live (and don't want to know either). Often the pasth of least resistance (and most simplicity), is to simply trade your equipment across the counter at a Verizon Experience Store. That only works if you live within reasonable driving distance of one.

Call ahead and make sure they have the equipment you want available. Availability of the 7232 500gb DVR has generally been pretty good at these outlets. In fact earlier this year it was a lot better at Verizon stores than via the official upgrade path.

Good luck
