Using FIOS Mobile with IPAD and external speaker - Looking for help

I've installed the new FIOS Mobile app on my IPAD. However, I can only get sound when I use the IPAD speaker. I want to use either a connected or bluetooth speaker. When I attach or connect with one the sound cuts out (picture is fine).

I also would like to connect to a TV using the IPAD interface HDMI cable. Same thing happens. I get picture but no sound.

   Under settings>Bluetooth (make sure it's on - default is off).

   Which iPad and are you running iOS7 or 6?

   Some of the apps are not working yet with iOS 7 and should be updates soon.
