VOD_268 and VOD maintenance errors

For two evenings runnings, we have recieved these messages which basically explain that service is being done on Verizon's side of things and we do not have access to the video on demand features for which we are paying (both regualr and premium channels).  

While I appreciate the fact that periodic maintence is necessary, it is frustrating to find that a service we are paying to receive is unavailable.  Our former cable service provided statements regarding service outages and dedecuted a pro-rated amount associated with that downtime.  Such a gesture would be greatly appreciated on Verizon's behalf.
