I just set up an A/V receiver. I have no sound thru my stereo speakers connected to the A/V receiver. If I disconnect the HDMI cable from the Verizon STB and plug it into my bluray player the A/'V receiver and speakers work fine. Any suggestions?

From what is driving the A/V recver? Do you have composite cables (Red/White) going from STB to A/V or is output coming from the TV to the A/V. I use HDMI from STB to TV and then a optical cable from TV to A/V (there is a optical connection in back of HD STB but I don't use that configuration) - Please let us know how you are set up

What receiver do you have?
Do you have audio to the TV if you connect the HDMI on the STB directly to the TV?
When you move the HDMI cable from the STB to the BD player, are you using the same HDMI Input on the receiver? I assume so.
I currently have the HDMI from the STB to my Yamaha RX-V3800 and from the RX-V to the TV with no issue. However, I seem to recall I had to mess with the HDMI settings. I forget which one, but it was related to passing audio through HDMI to the TV. I had to turn it off (or select the receiver in the GUI).
