Verizon vs. Fox Network

Your recent business issues with Fox  and the loss of that programming for several days indicates to me that you can infact, add or remove individual stations rather than bundling them.  Your current policy forces customers to take stations they do not want including premium stations.  Allowing customers to choose the stations offered, which we now know you can, would cut cost to the cusrtomer.  So why don't you do just that?

Actually that's not exactly correct. Network's have contracts with the providers. Some to carry just the one channel (usually locals) and others where they have to carry a bunch of them.

Fios did not remove Fox. Fox removed themselves from Fios after the contract ran out and a deal wasn't made. Fox could have left the channel up while negotioations were still on going but they chose not to.

A la a carte wouldn't exactly save money, in fact it may cost more in the long run when networks start demanding higher rates because of it. I highly doubt we will see a la a carte for many more years.

Sorry but you're flat out dead dead wrong. The conflict between Verizon and FOX was strictly about money and the subscriber fees the channels charge. And it is the content providers, i.e. channels, that are fighting the ala carte programming your asking for.
