Want 16:9 menu on Motorola QIP 6416-2 STB.

16:9 menu is a QIP HD 7100 1 box.

 

4:3 menu is a QIP 6416-2 box.

 

I tested QIP 6416-2 with an HDMI and no 16:9 menu.

On my RGB setup i can only get 4:3 menu.

On my HDMI setup I get 16:9 menu.

 

My HDMI cables won't function properly w/ my TV for some reason but I'll try again now.

Ask for an upgrade.  Probably can get at least a 7216 for free.  Might have to pay if you want a 7232.

The 6416 does not have the graphics horsepower to display the guide in 16:9 HD.  You need a 7000-series DVR.

Well I have a new STB on the way. They couldn't tell me what model # QIP it is so it's a game of chance now lol

 I had the same issue, and Verizon sent a new box. I believe it is the 7200 or something, basically the next newer box.
