Nearly everytime I turn on my TV and fios DVR the screen is washed out in a red / purple / pink color. I have to reboot the STB every day. I called support and they did a remote firmware download but it has not fixed the problem.
A reboot always fixes it but is there a more permanent fix?
The support website does not seem to be working for me today either so can someone post the technical support phone number please too.

In my situation using an HDMI connection to watch an HD channel the picture goes to purple when a local non-HD commercial comes on. The HDMI signal from the DVR seems to get confused and shorts out when being forced to translate an HD picture one moment and then to a non-HD small format commercial in the next moment. The only way to correct it is to power down my receiver or DVR and power up again. I am forced to do that 10 times an hour in some cases. I ahve tried a new DVR, new HDMI cable, new receiver and nothing changes. I do not know if it is a unique problem to FIOS or what. Any ideas?
