Sorry if this topic has already been discussed & addressed elsewhere.
Just had FIOS installed last Friday. Home Media DVR downstairs, HD DVR upstairs. Both TVs are standard definition (in process of upgrading both to HD). For some reason, I'm unable to access any of the programming recorded downstairs on the upstairs box. I spoke with one person in tech support and they said this was a known issue resulting from a "software upgrade" that would be addressed in the future. But then I spoke with someone else (in Billing, no less!) who said that wasn't the case. To top it off, my father has the exact same setup in Maryland and says it works fine though he has 2 HD TV's.
What's the deal? Until I upgrade both TVs to HD am I out of luck with sharing programming from downstairs to upstairs? Or is there a setting that needs to be tweaked?

The Home Media DVR will only communicate with NON-DVR STBs, so it will work with an SD-STB or an HD-STB. It will NOT communicate with another HD-DVR. I don't know why they don't make it so capable, but it's not.
