caller ID

I recently set up my caller id. My question is does the feature only work on HD boxes?  If that is the case I will stop trying to figure it out...thanks

It will also work on the -3 model of the SD box, the QIP2500-3. However, it wil NOT work on the 2500-1 box as it does not have enough memory unless it has been upgraded. I believe there is also a -2 although I have never seen one, my understanding is it also needs a memory upgrade to work.

I have one -1 and one -3, Caller ID works on the -3 but not the -1. You should be able to tell which version of the QIP2500 you have by looking at the lower left corner of the front panel.

Caller ID will not work on the Digital Adapter, the DCT700.

I do have several of the QIP2500-3 boxes. When I enabled the feature on my HD box it was very simple to do. When I try to use it on my -3 boxes I don' t  get the option to do so on the settings menu....thanks

Try rebooting the boxes - pull the electrical power for 1-15 seconds or go into the Help menu and select reboot. Can't hurt, might help.
