Has anyone else had problems with their 7216 dvr? I have already received 2 of them and since Verizon changed the system a few months ago, the dvrs do not interact well with the new system.  It works some of the time, but not all of the time.  It stops recording before a manual recording is scheduled to stop.  It says not enough space, but then I don't do anything and it tapes the next show and does not cut it off.  You don't know how much recording time you have because it says you have plenty, but then stops and says you don't have enough space.  It doesn't delete shows on the dvr that aren't saved when it says there isn't enough space.  You can't always rewind in live tv.  I didn't have any problems with the old system and the same dvr.  I spent hours on the phone and on live chat on the computer with no help.  Noone can do anything. They reset the dvr over and over again.  Technician came to my house and can't do anything.  Verizon promises me new model that technician said would work with new system.  This was after Verizon got access to my computer to set it all up.  I  have wasted many hours and thought problem was resolved and what did they do?  They sent me the same model that doesn't work.  I am so frustrated with Verizon.  What do you do when noone will listen to you with Verizon and then when you thought they were listening and thought they resolved your problem, they didn't?

Sorry to hear that you are having troubles with the DVR. I have sent you a private message to get more information regarding your account to help out further.

Thanks,

Maybe it's defective and you need a replacement.

The 7216 should work just fine with the new img 1.9. You may have a faulty unit. Call and ask for a repair replacement. Remember you will not get the new 7232 no matter how much you complain. The only difference between the two is storage size. You can get the supported eSATA external drive expansion, or pay Verizon $40 for the newest model. Many have opted to get an external larger 1tb drive, instead of paying Verizon $40 upgrade fee to get the 500gb drive size.
