When I was signing up for FIOS TV I was told when I called for information that their was over 100 HD channels in the DC area.  After the install I noticed that there was not over 100HD Channels.  I called and was told it will be over 100 HD channels within 2 weeks in my area.  Now It has been three weeks.  I need to know the real date so I can cancel if there isn't a time frame.

Verizon has already rolled out their full slate of 100+ HD channels to a number of its markets, including New York and New Jersey, but the DC area does not yet have them.  You can see a full list of the other channels here in PDF format:

As you can see, nearly 40 of that ~100 are premium movie channels.   Aside from premiums, you are missing the following channels now:

FX-HD

ESPNews HD

Speed Channel HD

Fox Business Network HD

Fox News Channel HD

Bio HD

QVC HD

Planet Green HD

Travel Channel HD

Hallmark Movie Channel HD

MGM-HD

Disney Channel HD

Toon Disney HD

That represents almost every 'legitimate' network currently available in HD.  Unconfirmed reports suggest those in the DC area will have these channels by the first or second week of December.  Verizon recently updated the DC area lineup with those channels listed as "coming soon."
