We currently subscribe to direct tv and I just got the fios bundle package phone, tv, & internet installed. We still have the direct tv hooked up but after comparing the channels it looks like the direct tv channels are more clearer than the verizon fios. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the verizon fios picture more clear on the tv? Is it necessary to run an Hdmi cable? We have a brand new sony hd tv that we recently just bought.

Which Verizon STB are you using and how are you connecting it to your TV ?

How is your Direct TV Box connected to the TV (Are you comparing oranges to oranges) ?

An HDMI Cable should provide you with the best possible connection.

I had to change the picture settings on my TV when I switched from Dish to FIOS, I had both hooked up through HDMI, It just seemed the colors/contrast were a little different between the 2.  Not that one was better than the other, just a little different.
