I bought the WD hard drive that the website said would work with the Motorola QIP 7216. It did not come with an eSATA wire. I tried Best Buy, Radio Shack and a few other stores stores but no one carries it and I even went to the Verizon fios store several miles away. Does anyone know where I can get this wire?
Thanks for any help!

A quick search of Amazon will yield a multitude of possibilities ...

Even if you could find it at a local retailer, you wouldn't want to buy it from them. They'll easily charge you 10 times as much as what you should pay.

I'm surprised it didn't come tih an eSATA cable. The one I purchased over a year ago did.
My preferred source for cables is monoprice.com. Low prices and good quaility on all cables I have ordered (CAT-5, USB, HDMI, and many others). Just another possible source.

Actually, a lot of these disks come with a dual interface nowadays ... USB and eSATA ... and the cable they ship with the drive is usually the more universally accepted USB one. That's what happened to me when I bought my expansion drive.
I usually prefer monoprice.com as well for my cabling needs ... but if I recall correct they either didn't have them or for some reason wanted substantially more than other sources (admittedly an oddity given their usual comptetive prices).

Just checked Monoprice with a search for eSATA. Here is the link (prices look mighty low to me - $1.29 unshielded, $2.84 shielded for a 3 foot):
