Here you can change the video output settings for the STB.

There is a known issue with certain TV's whether it is Samsung, Sony, Vizio, LG, and others...it is not limited to Verizon. As badmessenger said, this issue happens with many other Video providers aswell. Verizion cannot send you cables or anything to fix it, just refer you to the store to buy component cables, as it is the only work around besides buying a different TV which doesnt make any sense...there is no firmware or software for your TV.
