fios one box repeatedly failing

several times a day the box just quits, then has to reboot, losing recording. started a week or two ago; now multiple times a day. no power outage, loss of internet, anything else i can see that could cause this.

If you checked all the coax connections to the box and it is still happening then it sounds like a bad box. Time to call Verizon for a new one, or go here:https://www.dslreports.com/forum/vzdirect  and ask someone there to get a replacement for you.

ugh! next question: is there any way to retain recordings/settings? i rely on the dvr to find shows that come and go, and with several moves i've already lost all that several times in the last few years. still haven't recovered everything. or, does anybody know how to program shows that aren't currently airing or airing in the next few weeks?
