Would appreciate some comments on my first impressions.  Was expecting big things but disappointed with cost and need for settop boxes for each addtl tv.  Cost 5.99 mo for each box plus don't have space for box for tv in kitchen.  Tv without settop box EXTREMELY LIMITED.  Current cable provider allows many more channels without addtl box.  Today have 1 HD box +  3 addtl tv's on cable.  Appears Verizon cannot supply comparable service.

There is a smaller and less expensive option for any SD TV (like the kitchen).  Verizon has the DCT-700 (also called digital adapter) that gets all SD channels but has no guide, widgets or VOD.  It is physically much smaller (unfortunately it is not shown on their website) and rents for $3.99 a month. Unfortunately even if you have a newer TV with a QAM tuner the only things you will receive are the local SD channels, local digital channels (HD), music channels, and PEG channels.

Can't give you any other choices - it is what it is.
