My cable box is behind the tv and sometimes my remote doesn't work. Does anyone know if Verizon makes a IR remote reciever to plug into the back of the box
the 7xxx series cables boxes have ir ports in the back verizon can send you a short cord for free. or you can buy your own. i think verizon's is 3 feet.
I am having a problem with the fact that Verizon's cord is only 3 ft. I have my DVR in a cabinet and if I move anything in that cabinet I have to plug the cable back in which is very difficult to reach. I am a little concerned that Verizon has spent a lot of money on infrastructure (ie fiberoptic...which I love by the way) but is not spending much on support components to enable such a supurb infrastructure. We had a service through Direct TV and they had an RF remote that would communicate to the DVR right through the cabinet. I guess you just can't have it all. A great infrastructure and modern equipment!
