Hi all-

My old 2 tuner Tivo with verizon m-card died this week so i ordered a new tivo. My new TiVo Roamio has 6 tuners- verizon support tells me their mcards only support 2- is this true? I read FCC rules state they only have to support as many tuners as the DVRs they sell. I thought the Quantum supported 6? I also read that my cable card part number- 514517-002-00 and is an mcpod1 card that's 7 years old only supports 2 tuners BUT the newer mcpod3 cards will work with 6 tuners- part number 514517-017-00. Does anyone have experience with this and if you've managed to get this work, can you advise who to call , what to ask for, thanks so much!! -Danny

I don't know from personal experience, but others have been talking about Roamio's with Verizon service.  And wikipdia lists Mcards as being able to handle up to six streams simultaneously.

I have TWO Romaios and both have one Mcard that handle 6 tuners just fine.  In fact I picked up the Mcards at a local Verizon store and did a self install and all worked just fine.

Verizon is flat  out wrong about only 2 tuners for Mcards.
