Due to a few issues I am constantly having 1. STB does not respond to any remote control actions 2. channels remap themselves so they are not where they are supposed to be. I need to reset my stb. pulling out the AC power cord is a pain because of where the boxes are located. and going thru the menus on the website are a pain in the **bleep**. Why cant we have
a 3 button salute on the remote similar to Ctrl-alt-delete on a computer

www.verizon.com/repair seems real easy to me? i just go there, put in my username and password and maybe one other step.
does that work for you?
you can also pull the power from the back of the STB vs at the wall.
BUT the three finger solute type of thing or holding down a key for 5 seconds might be a good idea. you might want to post it at the share your ideas board.

You can reset the STB also by going into Menu/Customer Support/In Home Agent/Reboot STB or you can reboot it from another STB by going into Menu/Customer Support/In Home Agent/STB-DVR Autocorrect
