I have had the same set top boxes since I have had FIOS, probably 4 or 5 years. I am disabled so going to the store is not possible.
One of the set top boxes is hooked up to an older tv, not flat screen with a dvd player it looks like it has about 20 different hook ups
Will Verizon sent a technician to my house to replace these boxes. I noticed when I tried to use a recipe widget it told me my set top box was not capable of doing that so I guess I need new boxes
They are pretty easy to install yourself (not sure how disabled you are). Or maybe a friend could give you a hand.
Plenty of instructions on FIOS website on installing a STB.
