Here is an interesting issue that I've had since fios was first installed. I get pixelated (blocky is a better description) video on demand when the furnace kicks on only. The rest of the time it looks perfect. It happens to both of my set top boxes which are on each floor of my house. The furnace is on its own circuit. I did try plugging the ONT and the router into different plugs just in case. I even tried ferite cores around the coax as well as the power cables for the furnace and ONT. Also, all the coax cables seem to be very tight. I can easily reproduce this issue by simply turning the furnace on while watching VOD. Any ideas? Thanks!

Problem solved. I starting swapping out each of the coax lines. Turns out the line from the splitter to the upstairs tv which is also the main quantum box must have had a break in the shield letting in EMI. Didn't notice any damage to the cable so it may have been bad from the start. I bet poor terminations since they were cut to length. But now everything works perfect. Also, with fios quantum it seems all the tvs are controlled by the main tv box which meant all of my tv's had blocky VOD when the furnace came on even though only the cable to the main box needed to replaced.

What you are experiencing is electrical interference from the furnace that is effecting the coaxial cabling.
