"Streaming" TV signal

I have internet coming up out of the floor in my bedroom (routed underneath the house) to one wall. I'm trying to get out of climbing under the house to split the coaxial cable signal and then bringing it up into a different location in the same room.

What I am wondering is: is there a "device" that I can purchase that I can then connect the existing internet connection to that will then "stream" the TV signal to another "device" in the  same room that I can connect my HD-TV to? Somebody told me about Roku devices awhile back but I'm not sure if this is the right application for this product.

I'm not interested in viewing the TV signal on my laptop or mobile device, just on my HD-TV.

Roku uses a wireless input, so if you can get a good signal from your router, you won't need anything else. Roku3 will take a wired input.  In that case you will need to run a cable from your router.

However, ROKU will not provide the FiOS TV signal.  If you want everything FiOS, you will need a STB. Then you can just use a splitter and run from the existing cable to the STB.

FYI:

My set up is as follows:

1) ONT in Garage.

2) Coax runs to point in Garage where ther is a 2 for 1 PDI Mega Splitter.(MAKE SURE ALL SPLITTERS ARE BIDIRECTIONAL AND 1 GHz BANDWIDTH OR GREATER))

3) The " A" leg continues upstairs thru the walls to my HD QIP 7100 1then to my Sony TV..

4) the "B" leg goes to my M1424-WR Rev. F Router then throught the wall to my HD DVR QIP 7216 P2 500 GB

5) the Router is in my "office" downstairs next to my Dell Latitude 6500 in the room next to where the HD DVR is located.

With this set up I can program and  watch recorded programs on both TV's

With my iPad 2and iPhone 5 and the appropriate VZ apps I can program the DVR and watch live TV anywhere in the house.

Recently added Bose SOLO between my HD QIP 7100 and the Sony TV...get great "movie theatre" sound.

Hope this info is of help in your situation.
