I want to purchase a Yamaha RX-V473 receiver and wonder if the Fios DVR will work through the receiver.

If you mean will the receiver be able to pass through the HDMI signal, the answer is yes.  If you mean can you connect the FiOS STB to the receiver to use the receiver for audio and pass through the video signal to the TV, the answer is yes.
