I have had fios for 3 months now and I really like it my problem is with the remotes not all the buttons light up and at night its hard to see them when watching tv without lights like we do,my question is is there any universal remotes out there that have all buttons lighted and would work with the verizon stb's

Your best bet would be a harmony remote. but cant tell you any more then that

I use Harmony One Remote and it works great.  Both lit button plus the color video touch screen buttons.
