$250 Verizon Gift Card Scam

I recently switched from Comcast to Verizon. When I was speaking with Verizon during the switch, they offered a $250 gift card with my service. What I learned after getting the card is that its a scam. Really sad. I've never seen a large company defraud its customers like Verizon has.

The gift card is not a Visa prepaid card. Its a Verizon gift card that is advertised you can put against your bill. If that was the case, I would be happy but it doesn't even work to pay your bill. When I searched online for how to use it on Verizon's page, it showed a set of instructions which did not exsist on Verizon's website. What made matters worse is that when I called Verizon, I had to wait 30 minutes to speak with someone in the billing department only to have them tell me they cannot help me. The billing department cannot help you pay a bill with a Verizon gift card. Pretty amazing, I've never been scammed like this and if you are considering Verizon, run as far away as you can.
