Hi, my DSL contract is up on the 18th. This morning I signed up for another year - which is slated to start on the 18th (when my old contract runs out). Then I found out that cable has come to my area so I want to go with that option as it's faster.
Can I cancel without penalty before the service has been activated? Does anyone know?
Thanks,
sbradley

Sbradley::
This actually varies from customer to customer, since DSL contracts vary widely by area and availability. Your best bet is to check with the Verizon Online department (800-567-6789) and they can advise what, if anything, is your early termination fee. (These, from what I understand, can vary from $0 to $79 depending on the individual plan.)
