I heard a rumor that if FiOS becomes available in your area and you have DSL, you will be required to switch to FiOS. Does anyone know is there any truth to this?
I live in an apartment complex and Verizon has been hastily installing fiber optical cable, going so far as to run cable to each apartment install some sort of equipment. Verizon is obviously investing a ton of money in this endeavor.
Just wondering,
Carl

They won't just switch you without letting you know. You would have to ask to be upgraded to FiOS.

Hi , you will not be required to switch from DSL to FIOS but it does sound like your apartment complex is upgrading so that tenants have the option to get fios.
