Dying tree entangled in wires in front of house

We have a large maple tree that is partially entangled in the lines in front of our house.  It is also mostly dead and will probably not last much longer.  Verizon has so severely trimmed the tree in the past that, other than the branches entangled in the wires, the upper portion of the tree angles sharply back from the road.  This means that if that part of the tree were to come down, it would take out the phone line running from the pole to the house.

I would like to see about getting this tree removed before it either takes out the phone line to our house or takes out service to the entire street.
