Email from Hotmail user blocked

My wife and I have separate verizon email addresses (sub accounts under one master account). We have a friend who uses Hotmail. I can receive the freind's email, but my wife does not. I have turned off all spam filters on my wife's account, still no email from our Hotmail sender. I have asked the friend to cc: me on all email to my wife. I receive every message, my wife gets nothing.  Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

#1 What E-mail Client is she using?

#2 Does her E-mail Client have any filters enabled?

She uses the Verizon web mail client.

All spam  filters are turned off.

#1 I have my interface set to Basic.

#2 Go to under My Settings, go to where it say "Mail".

In there, there are different tabs.

a) My setting for *Setup*

-> Spam Filtering: Save spam in the SpamDetector folder

b) In "Blocking":

-> Do not use Block Senders list.

-> Block List empty/blank.

-> Safe List empty/blank.

c) In "Filters"

-> I have no filters.

You are a genius!!! and a life saver! It was the blocked sender list, hotmail.com was listed. I didn't even know it was an option. That's the downside of not using the same email client as my wife.
