I just finished speaking with an account representative about my "discounted" plan that I was told was $69.99 but somehow reaches $182.99 per month after taxes and fees.  I tried to get line by line itemization and the representative got very emotional and defensive and said I was "choosing" to have all the additional services (I guess that would mean the boxes so I can actually watch television) and the surcharges (over $20 in taxes??)  I started out in decent tone and mood when I called and am now upset.  I can easily understand why Verizon has such poor customer service reviews!  I wasn't thinking about switching providers but this exchange was a clincher for me...
