I switched phones at home, and I had my voicemail number (the one I have to call) in the memory of my other phone. How do I find out what number I have to call. There is no way to find this out on-line (I have been looking for a 1/2 hour)

I am in PA.. former Bell Atlantic... any help out there....

Dear Cantgethelp,

Verizon's tech support voice portal systems have a feature that provides you your voice mail access number.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are have plain old telephone service:

- Call 1-800-Verizon.

- Confirming your telephone number.

- Say "Tech Support"

- Say "Telephone Service"

- Say "Voice Mail"

- Confirm  (YES) Voice Mail Problem

- Say "forgot my access number"

The system will then provide you with your access number.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are a Fios Customer:

- Call 1-800-Verizon.

- Confirming your telephone number.

- Say "Tech Support"

- Say "NO" to .com questions.

- Say "Phone"

- Say "Voicemail"

The system will then provide you with your access number.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please let me know if this does not work or if you have further questions.

The site  http://www6.verizon.com/vmlookup/vmlookup.asp was the place to look up your access number (I've use it myself), but as of today, it gives the message "No web site is configured at this address.."

Perhaps this FAQ page for voice mail might be of some help.

I also live in PA.  All you have to do is dial your own phone number and when your outgoing greeting begins hit * and the prompt will say please enter your passcode. Then just enter your passcode and you are in the system.

The FAQ page given by ElizabethS here and on other threads is for wireless VM only and has no applicability to home VM.
