I just want to send my transcripts of my conversations in Live Chat to someone that cares about customers and will do something about this horrible service. The online sales dept is such a waste of time.
I can see why Verizon doesn't have so many complaints because half the people just give up after looking around for a half hour...

Frankly I'd be very interested to learn the true statistics concerning such issues. Unfortunately it's been the experience of many people over a long period of time that these statistics will never be attainable. Meanwhile there's no reason to believe that such statistics as they relate to Verizon differ in a significant way from those of other service industries.
By and large, the "squeaky wheel" principle is at work with customer complaints and related statistics. We just aren't programmed to sit down, go online, and write a post about how well everything is going. OTOH we are rarin' to go when things go south. Having said that, I note that while we encounter many complaints on these boards that are apparently justified, many others merely reflect a "rant" mentality. This situation has been discussed in detail here many times, it is not subject to solution, and it will remain a factor in the future.
The road to success with service issues is similar to the road used to get anything else accomplished. Ask nicely, ask succinctly, and listen more than talk.
I agree wit Armond! I just had superb customer assistance. How, By being persistant but very nice!!! You will ,as my mother said,always get more flies with sugar than with vinnegar!!
