In January, I moved into a new apartment and immediately set up a bundle with Verizon. This bundle included:
-High Speed Internet
-DirecTV
My high speed internet works fine, but I've never bothered with DirecTV until now. I have an LG LED-LCD 26", so a cable cord can run directly into its Input/cable. I also have a cable output in my wall. Logically, I used a basic cable cord to connect the two.
I also did Auto Tune for my TV, so it would recognise the channels. There are no channels to recognise.
Do I need a a cable box?
Does my TV just not recognise?
Or is Verizon mucking up?

DirecTv is satellite based.
Did they install a Sattelite Dish and boxes? Note that in an apartment buidling a shared dish may have been set with a distribution hardware to all apartments.
